ACUMEN

ACUMEN is a network of mental health service users and carers. Based in Renfrewshire, ACUMEN works across Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and in Argyll & Bute. It is free to join.

ACUMEN’s purpose is collective advocacy on behalf of its members to promote the wider involvement of experts by experience and carers in shaping mental health services and the promotion of recovery and wellbeing. ACUMEN works with other organisations through collaboration and networking to tackle stigma and raise awareness of mental health issues.

To achieve its aims, ACUMEN encourages representation and volunteering from members to participate as equal partners in influencing decision making processes at every level. We believe that maximising involvement of service users and carers in all areas of service provision will improve services and the quality of life of participants.

We welcome enquiries from all sections of the community, including Black & Minority Ethnic Groups, people with disabilities and members of the LGBT community.
