RAMH East Renfrewshire Causeway Day Services work in Partnership to provide a range of holistic group and individual supports to enable people on their recovery journey. East Renfrewshire Community Support provide a range of specialist and practical support services including employability, community-based groups and individual support.  We are recruiting volunteers who will support our ongoing work, empowering individuals to be more involved in the self- management of their own mental health.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals with a lived experience of mental health issues who can identify and demonstrate the personal skills and attributes gained from their own personal journey of recovery. We are looking for ‘Experts by Experience’.

As a Peer Volunteer in the Singing for Wellbeing Group, you would be supporting individuals to aid their own self-management skills by encouraging singing as a therapeutic technique to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing. The group takes place in Barrhead Foundry each Thursday between 5 – 7 pm and may involve events out with. This would involve providing support to facilitate or co-facilitate the group with the group volunteer facilitator. Expenses will be paid as required.

Training:
Appropriate training including induction will be given as well as “on the job” training, individual development training, feedback and supervision.
