 Aspiring Communities – Connectedness Champions Project  – Funded for a period of 12 months

 ACUMEN (Advancing Community Understanding of Mental Emotional Needs) is a network of people with a lived experience of mental health issues and carers across East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and Argyll and Bute. This is a small team of staff who are passionate about empowerment of mental health networks.  We are seeking an individual who is able to facilitate the smooth operation of the Connectedness Champions Project which is funded by European Social Fund/Aspiring Communities Fund.  This will involve communicating regularly with a range of stakeholders who have an interest in developing strategies to tackle social isolation and loneliness in Renfrewshire using a variety of tools including social media and traditional communication methods.

Previous experience in planning and promoting events and networking with a range of people and support services would be an advantage. An interest in wellbeing and mental health may help you understand this role and you should have confidence in putting together promotional materials and social media content.  A sound background in Administration is required.   This is a varied and interesting role and you will be comfortable working in a varied, every changing role and be proficient with Microsoft Office with a strong knowledge of Word and Excel and will understand the importance of communications.
