Aspiring Communities – Connectedness Champions Project –  Funded for a period of 12 months

ACUMEN (Advancing Community Understanding of Mental Emotional Needs) is a network of people with a lived experience of mental health issues and carers across East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and Argyll and Bute. This is a small team of staff who are passionate about empowerment of mental health networks.  RAMH/ACUMEN have received funding from European Social Fund/ Aspiring Communities Fund to deliver a Connectedness Champions Project in Renfrewshire. We are looking to recruit a Development Worker to take this project forward. The role will involve supporting people with a lived experience of overcoming social isolation to become volunteer Connectedness Champions.    We are looking for a Development Worker with experience in supporting and developing volunteers; who has confidence working in a co-produced way with people with lived experience leading and developing. The post holder will be required to have experience of networking and excellent organisational skills, the ability to use digital platforms and an understanding of how the effects of social isolation and loneliness impact on health and wellbeing.
