RAMH’s Self-Management team is a small team of workers and peer volunteers who are raising the awareness and knowledge around self-management and Recovery in mental health for individuals in both East Renfrewshire and Renfrewshire.   We are keen to recruit to the team, a Peer Support Worker (PSW) which is funded through the Alliance Scotland and is to recruit, support, train and mentor a group of 12 Peer Volunteers. The PSW should understand a lived experience of mental health and have an  understanding of mental ill health.  You will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of lived mental Health and ability to put into practice self-management skills. It is desirable to have a minimum of a HNC/SVQ 3 in relevant Health or Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this. You should understand the role of the SSSC in developing staff.  This is a challenging role and an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to gain experience in Community Day services and be supported and developed within RAMH.
