This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who can demonstrate leadership and management experience to join RAMH in the role of the Youth Counselling Services Manager.  The current service Manager has developed exceptional relationships with our partner agencies and the successful recruit will be expected to model this integrated practice, and be able to communicate effectively with our strategic partners.  RAMH Counselling Services currently provides Counselling to young people in East Renfrewshire. The team of Counsellors currently offers support in secondary schools, and we are looking to extend this into the community. We aim to operate across 52 weeks, and are looking for a Manager who understands the Counselling process and pathway, and who can safely manage risk within this complex service. You need to be able to respond quickly to any situations that arise and be flexible enough to support staff to manage situations as and when required.  You will lead and be accountable for a team of Counsellors and an Administrator to ensure service delivery and data capture meets all of the agreed service outcomes.

Applicants for the 30 hour post will need to possess an accredited Diploma in Counselling or equivalent, be a BACP, COSCA or equivalent accredited Counsellor, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Scottish Governments mental health and well-being strategies for young people. You will have proven leadership and management skills. It is desirable for applicants to have a first professional qualification or equivalent. In addition they will need to demonstrate an understanding of embedding evaluation tools within day to day practice and the ability to work effectively, at a strategic level, across a variety of multi-agency settings. We will consider applicants for the 22.5 hour post who are not Counsellors but have worked in complex mental health services at a Senior level.  RAMH are recognised as providing quality specialist services and we provide a high level of support to our Managers
