North Ayrshire Recovery College are offering up to 2 positions as Peer Trainer Volunteers. Each position will have a specific key focus and we are particularly interested in someone who has media and digital skills.

We are looking to recruit people with a lived mental health experience who are stable in their recovery and who embrace the values and ethos of the North Ayrshire Wellbeing & Recovery College. Your ‘Expert by Experience’ role will contribute to the quality of the Recovery College programme by inspiring students in their recovery journeys. Experience of being a student in the Recovery College and a peer role or Peer Trainee experience will be helpful as well as ability to contribute to training delivery.

As a Peer Trainer Volunteer you will be supporting individuals to aid their own self-management skills by their engagement in courses and projects to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing. The courses take place in different locations in North Ayrshire Area. You will be involved in the development through co-production and in co-facilitation of a range of courses.

Training: Appropriate training including induction will be given as well as “on the job” training, individual development training, feedback and supervision.

Please refer to job description when completing application and how your experience supports this.
