North Ayrshire Recovery College are building on the Peer Pathway and offering two positions as Peer Trainer Volunteers with a focus on Digital Inclusion. Supporting students to gain confidence in using digital devices and accessing courses virtually. Supporting tutors in online training delivery via Zoom.
We are looking to recruit people with a lived mental health experience who are stable in their recovery and who embrace the values and ethos of the North Ayrshire Wellbeing & Recovery College. Your ‘Expert by Experience’ role will contribute to the quality of the Recovery College programme by inspiring students in their recovery journeys. Experience of being a student in the Recovery College and a peer role or Peer Pal experience will be helpful as well as ability to contribute to training delivery.
As a Peer Trainer Volunteer you will be supporting individuals to aid their own self-management skills by their engagement in courses and projects to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing. The courses currently are all taking place online. You may be involved in the development through co-production and in co-facilitation of a range of courses and specifically in delivering training to encourage digital engagement.
Training: Appropriate training including induction will be given as well as “on the job” training, individual development training, feedback and supervision.
