Branching Out 2024 (Whitelee Wind Farm)

Our Branching Out programme for East Renfrewshire started this week up at Whitelee Wind Farm.

Branching Out is an outdoor therapeutic programme for adults who use mental health services in Scotland. The service consists of 3 hours of woodland activities per week for a group of 12 participants delivered over a 3 month period. Our current course is again being delivered by the Whitelee Countryside Ranger Service

This introductory week saw a bus tour of site, and introductions to how to use a kelly kettle for those very important cups of tea 🙂

The group were enthusiastic about getting started and are looking forward to the weeks to come.

Our Physical activity worker colette added “the branching out is always one of our most popular courses, we have been very fortunate to have the support of the Ranger service over the last few years to allow our service users the opportunity to get out and active in nature in such a creative and beneficial way”
