Peer Pathway

An essential feature of NAWARC is the role and value of Peer; people who have a lived experience of mental health, have progressed their recovery and are willing to share their learning with others. A team of Peer  Volunteers, co-facilitate courses and share their stories and recovery journeys. You will be inspired by them as they support your learning and growth.

You can attend specific courses to build your skills and understanding of the peer role which may support you to gain paid work as a peer worker or apply for a peer volunteer role within the Recovery College.

"I have really enjoyed the peer 2 peer course and learning about my experiences to help other people. I was inspired with the peer volunteers when i started with the recovery college and that is what inspired me to go on the peer pathway. I hope i can inspire and offer hope to other students the way i was in the beginning."
