Talk Menopause Information Sessions – Supporting Women in Renfrewshire

At RAMH ACUMEN, we’re delighted to launch our Talk Menopause programme, a series of workshops designed to provide support, information, and connection for women across Renfrewshire. This initiative, funded by the Renfrewshire Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, will run throughout 2024/5 and aims to create a safe, welcoming space to discuss menopause and its impact on mental health.

What to Expect from Talk Menopause

Our workshops are thoughtfully designed to empower participants with practical resources and shared experiences. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Access to Local, National, and Digital Resources
Gain valuable information about the various supports available to help you manage menopause and mental health. From local community services to national initiatives and online tools, we’ll guide you toward the help you need.
  • A Safe Space to Share Experiences
Menopause can feel isolating, but you’re not alone. These sessions provide a friendly, non-judgmental environment where you can hear others’ experiences and share your own story if you feel comfortable.
  • A Take-Home Resource Pack
Each participant will receive a comprehensive resource pack, including:

    • A guide to keeping a menopause journal to track symptoms, emotions, and triggers
    • A Menopause Meals booklet with tips on nutrition during menopause
    • Other helpful materials to support your journey
  • An Opportunity to Challenge Stigma
As part of the programme, you’ll have the option to participate in an audio project that highlights lived experiences with menopause. By sharing your voice, you’ll help challenge stigma and promote understanding in the wider community.
